A Visit From Kentucky Down Under

Debra, from Kentucky Down Under, entertained the Summer Reading participants with two stories and two animals.

She brought Perth, a miniature kangaroo.  Everyone looked for her in her cage.  She was hiding in the straw.

At the beginning of the program Perth didn't want to come out of her cage.

Toward the end of the program Ms. Debra tried again and Perth decided to come out of the cage to greet the participants.

Ms. Debra asked for help in acting out the story "Wombat Stew."

Another animal that Ms. Debra brought was a lizard-like animal with a blue tongue.  His name is Forrest.  She placed Forrest on the floor to show the children how slowly he moves.

Our door prize winners each received a Summer Reading Program t-shirt.
